Indecision

Polo Club is the culmination of two years of touring the world as a cohesive unit. “We wanted to focus on working within the band itself and making a record that showcases what we do live.” says James Curd. “When we sat down and thought of how we wanted the new record to sound we all agreed it would be fun to use Lotion as our starting point. We kept telling ourselves, ‘More Guitars!’” The end result is a collection of songs that perfectly captures the insane genius and singular sound of the Greenskeepers.

Dance Floor

I'm very excited to show you the official video for The Apples in stereo's song "Dance Floor," which features Elijah Wood and will make extra sense if you've seen the short film The Apples did with Elijah.

I haven't seen the short films, but I still enjoyed the video, as well as the song. In fact, I've been previewing the new album, Travelers In Space and Time, and I am really enjoying it. I suggest you pick it up when it gets released on April 20. That's right. You got something to listen to while you partake in 420 day! Puff Puff Pass.

This Too Shall Pass

Grammy Award winners Ok Go is made up of Kulash (vocals and guitar), Tim Nordwind (bass guitar and backing vocalist), Dan Konopka (drums and percussion), and Andy Ross (keyboards, guitar and backing vocals).

The video below for “This Too Shall Pass” features a two-story Rube Goldberg machine that the band spent four months building with SynnLabs, a team of creative engineers from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Rube Goldberg Machine is an overly complicated machine to do one small task.

Rebellion (Lies)

Arcade Fire is an indie rock band based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and fronted by the husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne.

In an interview with the New Musical Express December 8, 2007, the interviewer asked who are the nameless authorities in the lyric who fill us full of lies. Lead vocalist Win Butler replied: "I guess who 'they' are depends on when and where we're playing. I kind of feel like the Pied Piper when I sing that song. Playing the song and trying to get all these kids to follow me down the street and into a river!"

I'm not a big fan of Arcade Fire. Just about everyone else is. I am a sucker for Lip Dub choreographed thing-a-ma-bobs. Well done University of Guelph!

Silvia

Here you go. Miike Snow. Good song. Nice clean shots in the video. I don't know anything else about it. But here's a picture. It's just them. I thought it would be a nice picture for the blog.

Starstrukk

A re-mixed radio version was recorded by 3OH!3 for the expanded edition of Want featuring Katy Perry. The I Kissed a Girl singer and 3OH!3 have shared the stage many times and the re-mix gave them the opportunity to collaborate together. Perry joked to MTV News about her contribution to the song: "I came in on the song after they had finished, and they said, 'Katy, just come in and do, like, 16 bars,' and I was like, 'Yeah, whatever. It's nothing,' And I just went in and blew in the studio like that."

We've written about 3OH!3 and Katy Perry. What do you think about them? Leave a comment!
