MUSIC VIDEOS (in ALL caps)

There was a time where we had a channel on the boob tube that played nothing but music videos. Sadly this station is now overrun with reality shows and the like. This is our quest to return to the times where we got money for nothing and chicks were practically free.

Silvia

Here you go. Miike Snow. Good song. Nice clean shots in the video. I don't know anything else about it. But here's a picture. It's just them. I thought it would be a nice picture for the blog.

Starstrukk

A re-mixed radio version was recorded by 3OH!3 for the expanded edition of Want featuring Katy Perry. The I Kissed a Girl singer and 3OH!3 have shared the stage many times and the re-mix gave them the opportunity to collaborate together. Perry joked to MTV News about her contribution to the song: "I came in on the song after they had finished, and they said, 'Katy, just come in and do, like, 16 bars,' and I was like, 'Yeah, whatever. It's nothing,' And I just went in and blew in the studio like that."

We've written about 3OH!3 and Katy Perry. What do you think about them? Leave a comment!

Early Mornin' Tony

Slug (Sean Daley)
Slug is the MC of Minneapolis based hip hop duo Atmosphere. He is a founding member of the Rhymesayers Entertainment label. He is considered a conscious rapper, often focusing on his love life and other issues in his Minnesota lifestyle. The producer half of Atmosphere, Ant (Anthony Davis), produced Felt's second album Felt, Vol. 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet in its entirety.

MURS (Nick Carter)
MURS is one of the lyricists of the Oakland hip hop collective Living Legends. He is known for straying away from the generic gang-influenced rap that is so often affiliated with West Coast hip-hop. Living Legends producer, The Grouch, produced Felt's first album Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci in its entirety.

You might notice the sample? Contains a sample of "Leader Liberator" by Randy Matthews.

Seven in the morning police at my door
But I spent last night on someone else's floor
Out the back window didn't know where I was
I was still kinda buzzed with a head full of drugs

My Girls

A video for 'My Girls' from Animal Collective's new album Merriweather Post Pavilion. Out now on Domino. Produced by: Knowmore Productions Animated by: Jon Vermilyea Edited/VFX by: Chad Von Nau

On this song, vocalist Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, sings about how he eschews material things and just wants four walls to keep his wife (fashion designer Fernanda Pereira) and daughter (Nadja) safe. He explained to The Sun January 9, 2009: "I'm not big on possessions but, for some reason, being the owner of a space, a safe house for my wife and my daughter, has become the most important thing for me, for better or worse."

This Year

This song always seems to be my farewell song to the year. Even though the true meaning of the song I believe is about an abusive step father, it just becomes an anthem to me to get through one more tough year and to have some hope for a new one.

On October 6, 2009, The Mountain Goats performed "Psalms 40:2" on The Colbert Report. It was their first television appearance. Darnielle also had a short interview with Colbert in which he professed himself a fan.

Video/MP3 Posting Policy

1. I will gladly take any mp3/video down that any artist or anyone associated with them asks me to take down. Send an email to: inallcaps at gmail.com

2. If the mp3/video has been posted elsewhere, I will just link to it. No need to post it twice.

3. I believe that I am introducing my readers to music that they'll like and the result will be more music sales. If I felt otherwise, I wouldn't be doing it. I buy music and I think you should too.

To sum it up: If you are an artist or scary lawyer type and want something removed from here, just email us and it's gone! We're easy like that!
